About Vélocifit — Melbourne
We don't carry brands off the shelf. Every product we create begins with a detailed 3D scan of your feet, capturing the exact geometry that makes you unique.
From that scan we produce either custom-moulded orthotics for your existing cycling shoes, or fully custom-built shoes made in collaboration with HEZO — our German manufacturing partner, renowned for exacting standards.
The result is footwear that supports your biomechanics, improves power transfer, and eliminates the hotspots and pressure points that hold most cyclists back.
Our Services
Your feet scanned, your shoes built. In partnership with HEZO, we translate your 3D foot data into a road shoe made precisely around your anatomy. Available in the Helu 02 Carbon, or the upcoming Helu Aera for pre-order.
The same 3D scan process, purpose-built for gravel and mixed-surface riding. The Wolfland 01 is handcrafted in Germany to your exact foot geometry — durable, precise, and made for the terrain off-road demands.
Already have shoes you love? We'll make them perform the way they should. Your orthotics are printed to the exact geometry of your feet, correcting support and alignment with surgical precision.
Why It Matters
Any manufacturer can build from data. What separates a shoe that transforms your riding from one that doesn't is how that data was captured in the first place. This is where experience changes the outcome.
Your foot under pedalling load looks different from your foot at rest. We scan you in the position that actually matters — capturing the geometry your shoe needs to be built around, not the geometry of someone standing still on a mat at home.
Subtle shifts in how your weight sits across your arch change the entire geometry of the last. Get this wrong and the shoe works against your natural mechanics with every pedal stroke. We know where to look and what to correct for.
Asymmetries, old injuries, habitual foot positioning — experienced eyes catch what a self-scan misses entirely. We identify these compensations before they get built permanently into $750 to $1,495 worth of custom footwear.
We've scanned hundreds of cyclists. That experience tells you which cues matter, which positions to hold, and where the decisions that determine fit quality are actually made. A first-time scanner simply doesn't know what they don't know.
A shoe built from a poor scan is still a poor shoe — regardless of how well it was made. The fitting appointment isn't a formality. It's the reason the shoe fits.
Custom-built cycling footwear · Handcrafted in Germany
The HEZO Collaboration
HEZO is one of Europe's most respected specialist cycling footwear manufacturers — producing handcrafted shoes in Germany using materials and construction methods that simply don't exist in mass-market footwear.
Vélocifit is HEZO's exclusive Australian fitting partner. Whether you ride road or gravel, your 3D foot scan is transmitted directly to the HEZO workshop, where your shoes — Helu 02 Carbon, Helu Aera or Wolfland 01 — are built around your exact anatomy.
How It Works
Choose your service and lock in a time online. We'll confirm and send preparation notes before your visit.
Your feet are scanned under load, not at rest. We assess weight distribution, compensations and cycling-specific positioning — the variables that determine whether a custom shoe actually fits or merely looks like it should.
Orthotics are 3D-printed locally. HEZO shoes are handcrafted in Germany from your exact specification and scan data.
We deliver your finished product and walk you through setup, you ride better from day one.
